Kyiv Aviation Institute Officially Becomes a National University

As of May 27, 2026, the State University "Kyiv Aviation Institute" has officially been granted a new status and will henceforth be known as the National University "Kyiv Aviation Institute" (NU KAI).

Fourth-year students graduating in June 2026 will receive diplomas bearing the designation "National University."

As a reminder, under Presidential Decree of Ukraine No. 101/2026, dated February 6, 2026, the State University "Kyiv Aviation Institute" was granted national university status. This decision was made in recognition of the university's outstanding achievements, its national and international reputation, and its significant contribution to the development of higher education and science in Ukraine.

To mark this distinguished milestone, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy personally visited the university, where he met with students and faculty members. Symbolically, this historic event took place during the year marking the 120th anniversary of the birth of the renowned aircraft designer Oleh Antonov.

The National University "Kyiv Aviation Institute" continues its mission under a new name while remaining committed to its core values: delivering high-quality education, advancing scientific research, and preparing the professionals who will shape the future of Ukrainian aviation.
