The third day of the NAU Aerial Geodetic Summer School

On June 5, an interesting master class was held at the NAU Airborne Geodetic Summer School by representatives of ElNav - Andriy Menko and Ilya Ilyashov.

ElNav is the official distributor of GNSS products. The students-participants of the school had the opportunity to get acquainted with modern geodetic equipment from CHC Navigation. In particular, they were shown a GNSS receiver with two built-in cameras, a lidar for installation on a quadcopter and an unmanned boat with an Apache 3 echo sounder.

Ilya Ilyashov demonstrated the operation of the GNSS receiver under the control of two cameras, which resulted in the creation of a point cloud reflecting the facade of the educational building, tied to the WGS-84 coordinate system.

It is especially gratifying that Andriy Menko, who is a graduate of NAU, does not forget his alma mater and passes on his experience and knowledge to the younger generation.
