The Aim of Educational Professional Program

Training of masters who have advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills sufficient for the successful pursuit of professional law practice, are able to teach the legal disciplines in higher education institutions, participate in the research, engage in law enforcement, expert-consultative and organizational- managerial activity.

General higher education in the field of law. Training of highly skilled professionals capable of carrying out professional activities in the field of law, including scientific and teaching activities; providing legal services to enterprises, institutions, organizations and citizens; giving legal support to state authorities, local self-government, etc.

Specialist with qualification lawyer and research associate (jurisprudence) may hold positions in state authorities and local self-government, prosecutor's offices, advocacy, judicial and law enforcement agencies, scientific institutions, institutions of higher education, etc.

Ability to solve complex specialized problems and practical tasks in the field of professional legal activity or in the process of learning that involves the application of legal doctrines, principles and is characterized by complexity and uncertainty of the conditions.

General competencies

Knowledge and understanding of the subject area, awareness of the social significance of professional activity, the nature of the ethical standards of the legal profession and the ability to act on their basis. Ability to communicate in a foreign language, including in the professional field. Skills for collecting and analyzing information from national and international sources, assessing its reliability, using modern information technologies and databases.

Professional competencies

Knowledge of international standards on human rights. Understanding the nature of law in general and the nature of the basic legal institutions. Knowledge of the principles of national law. The ability to properly interpret rules and regulations, implement norms in professional activities. Ability to identify legal regulation problems and to offer appropriate ways and procedures for their solution. Ability to independently prepare draft legal acts.
