The Faculty of International Relations launches a double degree program with the Law Faculty of Vilnius University

Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Yuriy Voloshyn met with the Dean of the Law Faculty of Vilnius University (Lithuania) Šinkūnas Haroldas.

The parties discussed the possibilities of cooperation under the double degree program of the National Aviation University and Vilnius University. The implementation of the double degree program, one of the areas of which is the joint English-language program “International and European Law”, was launched in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Vilnius University Law Faculty and the Faculty of International Relations of the National Aviation University.

Dean of the Law Faculty Šinkūnas Haroldas spoke about the Master's degree program “International and European Law”, which has been implemented for more than 10 years at Vilnius University. He noted that the implementation of the program will enable Ukrainian students to study in Europe and obtain European diplomas.

Yuriy Voloshyn, dean of the Faculty of International Relations, noted that the National Aviation University has already launched educational activities for the training of applicants for higher education of the second (master's) level under the educational and professional program “International Law”, specialty 293 “International Law” in English (decision of the Academic Council of the University of March 20, 2024), and also agreed on curricula.

As a result of the meeting, Yuriy Voloshyn and Šinkūnas Haroldas agreed to prepare a draft General Agreement on Cooperation in the Implementation of Master's Programs between Vilnius University and the National Aviation University. The parties agreed to complete the procedure for agreeing on curricula, with the stages and specific conditions for organizing work scheduled for the end of 2024. Admission to the double degree program is scheduled to begin in 2025.  In addition, the universities will carry out exchanges under the Erasmus+ programs for students and faculty.
