The Law Faculty continues to implement the career guidance project “Realization of Law Graduates of an Aviation Institution”. We are pleased to present the success story of Volodymyr Spirin, a 2019 graduate of the Law Faculty, Master of Law (LLM) in Intellectual Property and IT Law, legal counsel, and specialist in personal data protection.

In 2019, after obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Law (specialty 081), Volodymyr entered Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, which is one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in the Federal Republic of Germany (Germany) and in the world. He majored in Intellectual Property Law and IT Law (personal data protection, cybersecurity).

After obtaining his Master's degree, he worked as a legal counsel at a telecommunications company in Düsseldorf, Germany, and later moved to Hamburg, where he worked for two years as a legal counsel at a chemical company.

During his career, he worked at the headquarters of OPPO, a mobile phone manufacturer. His responsibilities included: legal support of commercial activities in the Western European offices (Germany, France, Italy, and the UK). After leaving the company, he continued his professional career at Vink Chemicals GmbH & Co. KG, a company dealing with biocides and petroleum products. He practically formed the legal department from scratch, preparing for the international standard certification for data protection (ISO 27001).

Today, Volodymyr has been working for more than a year as a legal counsel and personal data protection officer for Daikin, a Japanese company, the world leader in air conditioning, and in the chemical industry. He provides legal support to four companies in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt (Germany), Brescia (Italy), Lyon (France) and the legal department of the Innovation Center for Intellectual Property Rights (patents), headquartered in Osaka (Japan).

Currently, Volodymyr is a key link in the legal support of the consortium's projects and large research projects of the Innovation Center. In addition to his chemical expertise, he is engaged in the development of lithium battery and semiconductor technologies. It is constantly involved in negotiations with many car and telecommunications companies, such as Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and others.

The administration of the Law Faculty invites all interested graduates to share the secrets of their professional development with students and demonstrate how to realize themselves in their future professional activities. To do this, send the materials and contacts of the person concerned to pravo@nau.edu.ua.
