National Aviation University presented innovative developments at the exhibition “Protection Technologies/FireTech”

On May 28-30, Kyiv hosted the XX International Specialized Exhibition “Protection Technologies/FireTech”, where the National Aviation University demonstrated a wide range of its advanced developments and research. Specialists from the Oleksandr Chub Department of Ecology, the Department of Civil and Industrial Safety Hero of Ukraine, and the Department of Military Training presented their innovations.
The exhibition was visited by Serhiy Hnatiuk, acting vice-rector for research, and Roman Odarchenko, acting dean of the Faculty of Aeronautics, Electronics and Telecommunications, head of the NAU NTSADMV.
The university developments were presented by:
- Batyr Khalmuradov (PhD, professor) and Oleh Tretyakov (PhD, professor) from the Department of Civil and Industrial Safety;
- Tamara Dudar (doctor of technical sciences, professor) and Larysa Cherniak (candidate of technical sciences, associate professor) from the Department of Ecology;
- Roman Hazdiuk, M.Sc. of the Department of Scientific and Methodological Support of the Research Center.
Cadets of the Military Training Department actively interacted with visitors, providing comprehensive information about search and rescue equipment, including fire extinguishers, oxygen cylinders, thermal imagers and auxiliary tools.
Among the innovations presented by NAU scientists:
- Composite materials for shielding electromagnetic fields. Their unique advantage is the ability to optimize the degree of protection against heterogeneous sources with different amplitude and frequency characteristics. This ensures simultaneous protection of people, stable operation of electronic equipment and reliable functioning of wireless communications.
- Electromagnetic radiation protection suit. The development guarantees user safety in conditions of increased electromagnetic background.
- Bioplateau for cleaning water bodies from radiation contamination. This eco-friendly technology uses natural processes, being simple and effective.
- Methodology for remote detection of potentially hazardous radon zones. Based on this method, a classification was created and radon hazard levels were identified for further research and monitoring.
- A complex of 3D models of critical infrastructure facilities and software. It allows assessing the risk level of potential threats and developing measures to improve the safety and resilience of critical infrastructure facilities.
The participation of the National Aviation University in the Protection Technologies/FireTech exhibition confirms its status as a leading center of innovation, especially in the areas of security and ecology. The presented developments demonstrate the high scientific and technical potential of the university and its contribution to solving urgent problems of our time.
