Students and teachers of the Faculty of Environmental Safety, Engineering and Technology joined the international training on effective management decision-making

During April-May 2024, students and teachers of the Department of Ecology of the Faculty of Environmental Safety, Engineering and Technology took part in a training organized by the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) for the third time. The event was dedicated to effective tools for supporting management decisions.
Representatives of three Ukrainian universities joined the event:
- O.M. Beketov Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy;
- Mykola Gogol Nizhyn State University;
- National Aviation University.
There were also students from the University of Grenada (Spain). All participants had a unique opportunity to be trained by professors from the University of Gothenburg and receive guidance from representatives of a number of companies and organizations from Sweden.
In particular, the founder of several startups that use artificial intelligence to solve engineering problems in the field of alternative energy, spatial planning, and data analysis met with the training participants. The use of AI opens up many new opportunities for solving environmental issues, urban utilities, and choosing learning strategies. The experience and competencies gained will be useful to future professionals in solving complex managerial tasks when it is necessary to take into account numerous factors and interests of various stakeholders.
The European principles of equal participation of citizens in decision-making processes on issues affecting the security and living standards of the population are the cornerstone of building a sustainable and efficient society in Ukraine.
The participants of the training express their gratitude to professors Rodney Stevens and Lennart Bornmalm, who organized the event and shared their experience and knowledge.
