The Educational and Research Institute of Education Development hosted a sectional meeting "Gifted student and pupil youth: research, innovation, scientific discoveries and search" as part of the XXIV International scientific and practical conference of students and young scientists "FLIGHT. Modern Problems of Science", organized by the National Aviation University.

The sectional meeting was opened by moderator Liudmyla Lakhtionova, PhD in Economics, associate professor, deputy director of the Institute, who noted that the event was taking place in the context of the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war, but hoped that the work of the section would be fruitful, interesting and constructive.

Svitlana Suchkova, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, associate professor, Integrated Senior High School and European Public School in Berlin (Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany), made an introductory speech.

The section was opened by Tetiana Petrovska, PhD in Pedagogy, Director of the Center for Pre-Professional Training and Gifted Students, Educational and Research Institute of Education Development of the NAU, with a report on "The role of the center for pre-professional training and gifted students of the ERIE for future NAU applicants during the period of martial law in ukraine."

The closing remarks were made by Olena Volarska, doctor of pedagogical sciences, associate professor, Department of Pedagogy, Comenius University in Bratislava (Bratislava, Slovak Republic) and Liudmyla Kudela, lecturer, head of the Cycle Commission of Tourism, Geodesy and Land Management, VSP "Professional College of Engineering, Management and Land Management of the National Aviation University", Kyiv, Ukraine.

Scientific abstracts will be published in an electronic collection of scientific papers.

Moderator Liudmyla Lakhtionova thanked the organizers, partners and participants for their interest and wished them further success and achievements. She also expressed gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to hold the conference.
