On April 16, 2024, as part of the implementation of elements of dual education and the formation of individual educational trajectories for students majoring in 192 “Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering” at the Faculty of Ground Structures and Airfields, a seminar on “Dry Building Mixtures” was held during a practical lesson on “Construction Materials Science” with the participation of Sika Ukraine representative Vladyslav Deynega. The meeting was attended by Valentyna Grabovchak, deputy dean of the FGFA, and teachers of the Department of Computer Technologies for Airport Construction and Reconstruction.

Sika is a specialized chemical company that holds a leading position in the development and production of systems and products for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing and protecting in the construction sector and the automotive industry. Sika has subsidiaries in 101 countries and manufactures products at more than 300 plants.

The event coordinator Vladyslav Deynega demonstrated to students and teachers the main types of products manufactured by Sika, their applications, production technologies and advantages of these construction products.

During the practical training, the students had the opportunity to personally use Sika Ukraine products and conduct an adhesion test with different building surfaces: ceramic, glass and metal.

Given the practical orientation of the training of future specialists in the field of construction, it was useful for the students to get acquainted with the classification and properties of building materials, the main technological processes during their manufacture and application.

The Faculty of Ground Facilities and Airfields is looking forward to further effective cooperation with Sika Ukraine to ensure high-quality practical training of students and the formation of the necessary professional competencies.
