Head of NAU Volodymyr Shulga was elected to the Board of the International Association for Aviation and Aerospace Education (ALICANTO)

On March 14, the annual meeting of ALICANTO was held in Montreal at the headquarters of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), where a new board of the association was elected. This year, the National Aviation University nominated its candidate, Volodymyr Shulga, chairman of the NAU Reorganization Commission and acting rector.

According to the results of the election round, the members of the association, which are 48 universities from 24 countries, elected a new ALICANTO board:

• Angela Albritton, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (USA);
• Tomasz Balcerzak, Lazarski University (Poland);
• Graham Braithwaite, Cranfield University (UK);
• Vincent Correia, McGill University Air and Space Law Institute (Canada);
• Marvin Dela Cruz, Philippine State College of Aeronautics and Astronautics;
• Matt Draeger, The Ohio State University (USA);
• Jakub Kraus, Czech Technical University;
• Robert Reid, University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa);
• Volodymyr Shulga, National Aviation University (Ukraine).

It is worth noting that during the election, the head of the NAU was ahead of his colleagues from China and Argentina.

ALICANTO is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that was established on December 13, 2018 in Shenzhen (China) at the 2nd ICAO Summit to promote the training of the next generation of aviation professionals. The main goal was to create a network of specialized educational institutions that will develop joint initiatives to train future specialists in the field of aviation and aerospace industry.
