Participation of the head of the Department of Ukrainian Language and Culture of the Faculty of Linguistics and Social Communications in the international conference

On February 15-16, 2024, Svitlana Lytvynska, head of the Department of Ukrainian Language and Culture of the FLSC, took part in the International scientific-and-practical conference "Modern Socio-Cultural Transformations: Media, Language, Communication". The event was held at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine.

At the conference, leading scholars from Ukraine and other countries (including the UK, Poland, Latvia, Hungary, and the Netherlands) discussed topical issues of evolutionary connotations of modern socio-cultural transformations, the dynamics of modern media, transformational changes in the dimensions of the traditional and new linguistic paradigm, etc.

In her report, Svitlana Lytvynska emphasized the urgent need to resolutely restore the Ukrainian language's orthographic traditions, which were artificially distorted by forced russification.
