NAU honors the memory of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes

Today, February 20, is the tenth anniversary of the commemoration of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes. The National Aviation University, with the participation of the authorities and cadets, held events dedicated to the heroes who died during the Revolution of Dignity and in the performance of their military duty to protect the Motherland.

In particular, they honored the memory of NAU students - a graduate of the Faculty of Aeronautics, Electronics and Telecommunications Andriy Tsepun, who died in February 2014, and a freshman Georgiy Toropovskyi, who volunteered for the front line at the age of 17 and never returned.

"The Revolution of Dignity has shown us, the whole world, the strength of our resilience, unity, and freedom-loving spirit. Victory and the desire for freedom - this is what drove the Maidan protesters then and now unites us in the face of Russian aggression," said Volodymyr Shulga, chairman of the Reorganization Commission and acting rector, in his speech.

"We live thanks to their fight. The memory of our student-heroes will remain forever in our hearts," said Maryna Petchenko, acting vice-rector, in her speech.
