Ukraine is actively developing the legal framework for the creation of industrial parks. They will accommodate companies moving from war zones to safer regions. Not only local communities, but also internally displaced persons and those returning from abroad after evacuation will be interested in employment.

A large eco-industrial park BuchaTechnoGarden is planned to be built in Kyiv region, covering an area of almost 3.5 thousand hectares, to develop the aviation sector - Antonov Airport, transport and logistics, production and warehousing, medical, IT, scientific and educational, and health and recreation clusters.

At the invitation of the Bucha Sustainable Development Agency, students and teachers of the National Aviation University were involved in the development of innovative concepts for the BuchaTechnoGarden. During the meeting, the general vision of the project was discussed, taking into account the recommendations of Vadym Naumov, chief architect of the Bucha community.

FGFA architecture students, led by acting dean Oktiabryna Chemakina and teachers of the Department of Architecture and Spatial Planning, held a week-long participatory workshop on the project of the Industrial Park Demo-Eco-System.

The main task was to develop information and logic flowcharts of the needs of the city administration, business, and residents of the Bucha community, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of available locations for architectural and spatial design, and architecturally visualize the types of buildings and structures of all BTG clusters.

The result was an information and logical platform for analyzing the territory, forming a vision, defining a strategy and concept for the architectural and spatial development of the project.

The workshop helped students determine the directions of their individual educational trajectories, which will allow them to increase their professional potential and career growth.

We express our gratitude to the researchers of the Department of Architecture of the FGFA, Oktiabryna Chemakina, Natalia Avdeeva, Oleksandr Kryzhanivskyi, Oleksandr Khliupin, and Vladyslav Neshchadym for their valuable role in the development of this project.
