European traditions of NAU: The Academic Council awarded the title of "Honorary Doctor of NAU" to a famous Polish scientist

On January 17, 2024, a meeting of the Academic Council was held at the National Aviation University, dedicated to the awarding of the Honorary Doctor of NAU diploma and certificates to the university staff.

The Academic Council awarded the title of Honorary Doctor to Marcin Paweska, rector of the International University of Logistics and Transport (Wroclaw), professor, PhD, who has many years of experience in strategic and logistics consulting and actively promotes the popularization of knowledge and science in the field of logistics and management.

The ceremony was held in the hall of the Academic Council with the participation of members of the NAU Academic Council and invited guests. Due to the martial law in Ukraine, Dr. M. Paweska was unable to attend the event in person and joined online.

Mykola Kulyk, chairman of the NAU Academic Council, opened the ceremony and announced Dr. Marcin Paweska's participation via video conference.

Iryna Zarubinska, NAU vice-rector for International Cooperation, spoke about the professional activities of the laureate. The Secretary of the Academic Council Mykola Lehenkyi announced the decision to award the title of Honorary Doctor of NAU, which was made on August 30, 2023.

The acting rector of the NAU Volodymyr Shulha presented the diploma and attributes of the Honorary Doctor, which will soon be handed over to the laureate.

Dr. Paweska thanked the audience for the award and expressed his hope for further fruitful cooperation between the universities:

"The unbreakable spirit, high quality of research, and outstanding scientists make the National University of Ukraine a unique partner."

In conclusion, the acting rector proclaimed that mutually beneficial cooperation opens the pages of new creative achievements and victories.
