All-university meeting at NAU

On September 28, 2023, an all-university meeting was held in the assembly hall of the first building of the National Aviation University, which brought together representatives of the university's teaching, research, administrative and student community.

During the meeting, the issue of the draft order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the reorganization of the National Aviation University, published in the media, was discussed.

As a result, it was decided to prepare an appeal to the President of Ukraine, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine to prevent the destruction of a powerful aviation university of Ukraine, which constantly holds leading positions in Ukrainian and world rankings of universities, through reorganization and deprivation of its national status, with the following requests:

1. To stop the consideration by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of the draft order "On the reorganization of the National Aviation University".

2. To send this draft to the labor collectives of the National Aviation University and the NAU Flight Academy for democratic consideration and approval.

3. With the involvement of relevant experts, to carry out a comprehensive study of the possible consequences of the reorganization and to make informed conclusions about the feasibility of reorganization in the form proposed by the project.

The appeal was adopted by the meeting of employees and students of the National Aviation University on 28.09.2023 and approved by the decision of the Academic Council of the University.
