In May 2023, teachers and students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) got acquainted with the life of Mykola Mikhnovsky and his ideas of the independence of the Ukrainian state.

In their presentations, the students of the FEBA emphasized that Mykola Mikhnovsky acted as a defense lawyer in trials of members of Ukrainian organizations and parties. The lawyer also defended peasants and participants in agrarian unrest free of charge, earning him the nickname "The Lawyer of the Hungry".

He was one of the first to advocate the idea of forming our own armed forces. At the beginning of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917-1921, he founded and headed the Pavlo Polubotko Ukrainian Military Club and was one of the organizers of the 1st Bohdan Khmelnytsky Ukrainian Regiment. He founded many Ukrainian magazines: "Independent Ukraine" (1905), "The Farmer" (1905), "Zaporizhzhia" (1906), "Slobozhanshchyna" (1906), "Snip" (1912-1913).

On 4 May, Nataliia Safonik, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Air Transport Economics of the FEBA, held a thematic event dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Mykola Mikhnovskyi's birth. "One, united, indivisible, free, independent Ukraine...". These words were the life credo of Mykola Mikhnovsky, a public and political figure, participant in the struggle for Ukraine's independence in the XX century, founder of the Ukrainian independence movement and ideologist of Ukrainian state independence.

The Senior Curator of the Department of Business Analytics and Digital Economy of the FESA organized research to prepare a presentation, photos and historical references of the events of the early twentieth century, the role of Mykola Mikhnovsky in the formation of the political system and societies of the Ukrainian state at that time. On 8 May, the results were presented and discussed.

And on 10 May 2023, teachers and students of the FEBA Marketing Department discussed the experience of the Ukrainian people in the struggle for independence, choosing Mikhnovsky's slogan "The inhuman attitude of the Russians sanctifies our hatred for them". During the corporate culture hour, historical events from the life of the Ukrainian figure and his role in shaping Ukrainian identity in the early twentieth century were presented.

During the meeting on 11 May, Tetiana Kosova, head of the Department of Finance, Accounting and Taxation at the FESA, noted that the words of Mykola Mikhnovsky, spoken in the early twentieth century, are more relevant than ever: "As long as a stranger dominates at least one piece of Ukrainian territory... all generations of Ukrainians will go to war."

In turn, a roundtable was organized at the FGFA of the NAU.

On 11 May 2023, Nataliia Ishchenko, associate professor of the Department of Aerospace Geodesy and Land Management, held a round table on the topic "150th anniversary of Mykola Mikhnovskyi's birth" with 4th year students of groups ZK-410B and ZK-311Bstn, speciality 193 "Geodesy and Land Management", Bachelor's degree.

During the meeting, the students discussed the life of the Ukrainian political and public figure, ideologist of Ukrainian independence. They recalled his main moments in life, including the conflict with the Central Rada, the Kharkiv period of his life, the organization of the Ukrainian party, and others.

Mykola Mikhnovsky made a significant contribution to the development of the national consciousness of Ukrainians. He became an example of a selfless struggle for an idea that he, unlike many of his contemporaries, carried throughout his life. Mykola Mikhnovsky was one of the first to speak openly about the need to create an independent state, which would be based on Ukrainian nationalism as the official ideology.
