NAU opens enrolment for a new training course "Teacher (instructor) for theoretical training of operators of unmanned special purpose aircraft"


The Educational and Research Institute of Continuing Education of the National Aviation University announces the enrolment for a new training course - "Teacher (Instructor) in Theoretical Training of Operators of Special Purpose Unmanned Aircraft".
The course programme consists of the following blocks:
1. Aviation legislation, flight rules.
2. Design of the UAS complex, power equipment and systems.
3. Meteorology.
4. Fundamentals of automatic control theory and UAV tracking systems.
5. Navigation, flight theory, flight procedures.
6. Radio signals and radio communication with UAVs. Distribution of ranges by UAV radio lines according to their purpose, antennas of UAV radio channels.
7. Flight mission planning and flight data analysis using the Mission Planner software package.
8. Computer and mechanical training equipment.
9. Methods of instructional activities during the training of aviation personnel.
10. Training flights.
Duration of the basic course: 124 hours (including 74 hours of theory and 50 hours of practical training).
The programme is developed in accordance with:
- The Decree of the President of Ukraine "On the National Strategy for the Development of Education in Ukraine until 2021";
- National Qualifications Framework (2011);
- The Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education" (2014);
- NATO Standard ATP-3.3.7 Guidance for the training of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). OPERATORS.

- Order of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine No. 661 dated 08.12.2016 On Approval of the Rules for Flight Operations by Unmanned Aircraft Systems of the State Aviation of Ukraine
- Order of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine of 10.08.2018 No. 401 On Approval of the Rules for the Technical Operation of Unmanned Aircraft Systems of Class I of the State Aviation of Ukraine
The course is taught by the specialists of the Department of Air Navigation Systems of NAU
