A webinar "Interview in English" was at NAU

Recently, Kateryna Pryimakova, a 3rd year student majoring in Philology, with the support of a senior lecturer at the Department of English Philology and Translation, organized and conducted a webinar with a native English speaker, James Wish, who works as a teacher in the United States.

The topic of the webinar is quite relevant and extremely useful for students, as there are many foreign companies and enterprises operating in Ukraine nowadays, and their communication and correspondence is mostly in English.

During the webinar, James shared with the students’ important tips for job search, gave examples of effective dialogues that are best used during an interview in English to sound more natural and impress a potential employer, general rules of behavior, and the ability to effectively use specific situations that arise at this stage.

It is worth noting that Kateryna is currently working at Empire English school, an English language school with which the Department of English Philology and Translation has been cooperating for many years.

Maintaining contacts with employers is an integral part of the training of higher education students.
