The educational-professional program provides solid comprehensive knowledge of international and European law, and especially the acquisition of skills and abilities for solving the problems of international legal regulation of international relations and foreign policy

Employment opportunities

Ability of graduates to carry out professional work and occupy the position of diplomatic representative; international lawyer; lawyer, expert or judge at international judicial institutions; Chief Adviser, Chief Expert, political observer; prosecutor; judge; expert in international law; notary; international law adviser; researcher (jurisprudence); consultant on socio-political issues (in parties and other non-governmental organizations) and other primary positions in government bodies, organizations and law firms of different types of activities and forms of ownership in accordance with the National Qualifications Framework and the National Classifier of Ukraine: Classifier of professions DK 003: 2013 , as well as the position of a teacher in institutions of secondary and vocational education, research worker.

Integral competencies

Ability to set and successfully solve scientific and practical tasks at a sufficiently professional level. To generalize practice in international law, to predict directions of its development. Ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems during professional activity in the field of international law or in the process of study, which involves researches using the latest innovative technologies in the implementation of complex studies, legal analysis of legal issues in the field of international relations and relations with foreign element or in the process of training, which involves the use of appropriate mechanisms of international legal regulation and is characterized by complexity and uncertain conditions.

General competencies

Ability to continuous and up-to-date training. Ability to systematize and synthesize information from different sources, using innovative approaches and technologies, taking into account the cross-cultural characteristics of the subjects of IL. Ability to independently organize and carry out scientific researches of international law problems, to produce hypotheses, to determine scientific problems, to prepare scientific texts and reports, to carry out public testing of research results.

Professional competencies

Ability to perform legal analysis and legal qualification of the phenomena of international life on the basis of knowledge of international human rights standards, in particular the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, the practice of the European Court of Human Rights. Ability to provide legal opinions and advice on issues of international law, national law of Ukraine and other states; to determine the legal risks of certain foreign policy initiatives, to choose ways to minimize them.
