NAU students - participants of the XIX All-Ukrainian Legal School on Judicial Proceedings in Time of War

On November 18, 2023, the XIX All-Ukrainian Legal School on Judicial Proceedings in Wartime was held at the European University, which was attended by 2nd year students of the Faculty of Law, specialty 262 "Law Enforcement" Karina Avdiushkina, Valentyna Rebeka, and Oleksii Medvedev.

During the day, the participants were given master classes by leading judges and legal practitioners, including: Natalia Marchuk - judge of the Supreme Court; Albert Yezerov - judge of the Supreme Court; Vladyslav Bilotskyi - Deputy Director of the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovations, Advisor to the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine; Stanislav Borys - Attorney at Law, Managing Partner of Vidar Law Firm, Member of the Board of the UBA Committee on Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure; Anton Polikarpov - Attorney at Law, Managing Partner of Polikarpov Law Firm.

During the communication with the audience, the practitioners shared their experience, discussed the peculiarities of qualification of war crimes under international and national legislation, revealed the secrets of alternative ways of resolving disputes in IP and further plans for the development of IP in Ukraine, analyzed the legislation on the protection of patent rights under martial law, etc.

The law school education contributed to a deeper understanding of the problems and prospects of reorganizing the judicial system, the secrets and methods of working in the field of law, and significantly increased the professionalism and competitiveness of future law enforcement officers in the labor market.
