Aerospace Faculty expands cooperation with stakeholders

On November 24, 2023, a meeting of stakeholders was held with the guarantor of the Master's EPP 131 "Applied Mechanics, Standardization and Quality Assessment of Technical Systems", PhD, associate professor of the Department of Applied Mechanics and Materials Engineering of the Aerospace Faculty, Volodymyr Melnyk.

The meeting was attended by former graduates of the EPP "Quality, Standardization and Certification":

Ilya Yakimenko - deputy director for airworthiness at AVIATECH LLC;

Mykhailo Vasylyk - engineer-technologist for instruments and equipment at Air Service LLC;

Oleh Radko - candidate of technical sciences, professor of the Department of Aviation, Institute of Aviation and Air Defense, National Defense University of Ukraine;

Oleksandr Rozumenko - airworthiness maintenance engineer of the 1st category at ANTONOV Company.

The meeting discussed the issues of improving the competencies students in EPP 131 "Applied Mechanics, Standardization and Quality Assessment of Technical Systems", which are necessary for the second (master's) level of higher education, and the forms of certification of universities in accordance with the Standard of Higher Education of Ukraine in the specialty 131 "Applied Mechanics" No. 742 of April 30, 2021.

The meeting discussed the issues of improving the competencies of students in the EPP 131 "Applied Mechanics, Standardization and Quality Assessment of Technical Systems", which are necessary for the second (master's) level of higher education, and the forms of certification of universities in accordance with the Standard of Higher Education of Ukraine in the specialty 131 "Applied Mechanics" No. 742 of April 30, 2021.

The special (professional) competencies and programmatic outcomes of graduate education that determine the specifics of training higher education applicants for this EPP are specified taking into account employers and graduates of the Department of Applied Mechanics and Materials Engineering. The normative content of the training of students in this EPP is formulated in terms of learning outcomes, forms of certification, requirements for qualification work, as well as in the requirements specified in the system of internal quality assurance of EPP mastering.

The participants of the meeting emphasized the importance of taking into account 20 years of experience in training specialists in this field, strengthening the aviation component, and involving former graduates and employers in the educational process in the work study programs and in the development of educational and methodological literature.

As a result of the meeting, the participants signed a collective review of the EPP 131 "Applied Mechanics, Standardization and Quality Assessment of Technical Systems".
