Rector of Georgian Technical University David Gurgenidze received a "Honorary Doctor of National Aviation University" diploma


Rector of Georgian Technical University, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of Georgian Academy of Energy and Georgian Engineering Academy David Gurgenidze and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Ukraine George Zakarashvili paid a working visit to National Aviation University.
NAU rector Maxym Lutskyi acquainted the guests with the technical potential of the university and educational, scientific and training facilities.
During the visit the Georgian delegation visited the NAU Museum of Aviation, the Training Hangar and the Training Centre of the University.
At the meeting of NAU Academic Council, Prof. David Gurgenidze was given a diploma of "Honorary Doctor of the National Aviation University.
The rector of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design Ivan Hryshchenko was also present at the meeting.
David Gurgenidze, an honorary doctor of NAU, addressed to the audience with a welcoming speech. In particular, he conveyed congratulations from the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili and thanked the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Serhiy Shkarlet for the friendship between the educational institutions of Georgia and Ukraine. He also noted that next year Georgian Technical University will be 100 years old and invited Maksym Lutskyi to attend the celebrations on this occasion.
Addressing the audience, Georgian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Giorgi Zakarashvili conveyed the words of support to the Ukrainian people and expressed confidence in the victory of Ukraine.
In turn, Maksym Lutskyi emphasized that international cooperation is one of the priorities of the university and expressed hope that this meeting will start a great and effective cooperation between the universities.
