A professor at the University of Cologne gave eight lectures on aviation law for law students

On February 22 - February 23, 2021, the director of the Institute of Air Law, Space Law and Cyber Law of the University of Cologne (Germany), Professor Stefan Hobe, gave a series of lectures on aviation law for students of the Faculty of Law of NAU.

The close cooperation of the Faculty of Law of NAU with the Institute of Air Law, Space Law and Cyber Law of the University of Cologne (Germany), which began last year, was continued in eight online lectures on aviation law by Professor Stefan Hobe.

In his lectures, the professor covered a huge array of material and shared with students his knowledge on: the history of the formation and features of air law; Chicago Convention; the structure, powers and functions of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO); specifics of application of the Warsaw and Montreal Conventions; features of the carrier's legal liability for damage caused to passengers, luggage, cargo during their transportation by air - the liberalization of air services in the EU; air traffic control in the EU; consequences of COVID-2019 for aviation services (restrictions by the aviation industry, taken measures, prospects), etc.

Given the fact that the deepening international cooperation in the education sector is the main today’s trend, the lectures of Professor Stephan Hobe facilitate the expansion process of internationalization of the university and will directly affect on as the quality of education, as the competitiveness of our graduates.

The next series of lectures by Professor Stefan Hobe will be devoted to space law and will take place on March 1-2, 2021.
