NAU specialists share their professional experience at a European university

On May 16 Oksana Shostak, Doctor of Philology, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics of the Faculty of Linguistics and Social Communications of the National Aviation University held a public lecture for the teachers and postgraduates of the American and British departments at the University of Aix-Marseille (France).

The subject of the lecture was: "Feminism as a Form of Anti-Colonial Resistance in Native North American Literature."

Oksana Shostak presented the results of the work of the Department of Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics on the research subject "Philological dimensions of national identity in the culture of English-speaking countries”.

Also, the participants of lecture discussed the role of women in the anti-colonial resistance of enslaved countries, the struggle of Ukrainian women in the realities of modern war, etc.

European scientists highly appreciated the work of their Ukrainian colleagues. In addition, agreements were reached on further cooperation between the two departments in this field of research.
