NAU professors participated in the International Conference "Problems of war crimes and crimes against humanity”

In the framework of the signed agreement on cooperation between the National Aviation University and Maria Curie-Sklodowska University (Poland, Lublin) on May 13th, lecturers of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure of the NAU Faculty of Law took part in the International Scientific Conference "Problems of War Crimes and Crimes against Humanity".

The lecturers of the faculty made reports regarding law-making activities in Ukraine during martial law. In particular the head of the chair Sofiya Lykhova made a report, in which she made a review and a brief analysis of laws and regulations adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from February 24, 2022 to the present day. Associate Professor Victoriia Sysoyeva analyzed the new article "Colaborative Activity" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, revealing the forms and types of collaborative activity and outlining the rules of qualification of this crime. The assistant Diana Maystro told about the novelties in the criminal legislation of Ukraine to protect animals from cruel treatment under martial law and analyzed the order of movement of animals across the border.

The speeches aroused the interest of Polish colleagues and led to a lively discussion, which touched on many of the problems that have arisen in Ukraine in connection with the Russian aggression.
