Rector of NAU Maxym Lutskyi held an online meeting with the President of Toyo University Etsuko Yaguchi: scientists will go to Japan for training

Today in the presence of the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet an online meeting between the Rector of the National Aviation University Maksym Lutskyi and the President of Japan Toyo University, Dr. Etsuko Yaguchi was held.

The meeting was also attended by:

- Serhiy Zakharin, state secretary of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;

- Professor Kazuo Takahashi, Vice President for International Affairs of the University of Toyo; Director of the Center for Global Education and Exchange;

- Iryna Zarubinska, Vice Rector for International Cooperation and Education, NAU;

- Yurii Voloshyn, Dean of NAU Faculty of International Relations;

- Keiko Yamachi, manager of the International Department at Toyo University.

The meeting took place within the framework of the Agreement of Cooperation between Higher Education Institutions signed earlier.

During the meeting the parties discussed:

- areas of academic cooperation, in particular the exchange of teachers and students for teaching and research;

- implementation of joint research projects;

- implementation of double degree programs;

- exchange of information and scientific publications, etc.

A separate item of discussion was the study of NAU students in Japan. The administration of Toyo University emphasized that they are already ready to receive the scientists and to provide all the necessary conditions.

Some students from NAU will come to study at the Faculty of International Relations and the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Design.

According to the agreement, the University of Japan will cover students' expenses, in particular air tickets from Ukraine to Japan, accommodation and meals at the university campus. Toyo will also coordinate the exchange students and provide necessary counseling.
