Skype conference between the National Aviation University and the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada

On March 19, 2018, the Skype conference was held between the National Aviation University and the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada.

The Acting Rector V. Isaienko, Director of the ICAO Institute G. Suslova, Head of the International Relations Department V. Timokhin and Deputy Head of the International Relations Department A. Ivanov represented the University. The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada, the representative of Ukraine in ICAO A. Shevchenko, Embassy adviser, A. Lyashenko, and I Secretary of the Embassy N. Vozdigan and I Secretary of the Embassy, O. Khavroniuk represented the Embassy.

The Ambassador of Ukraine congratulated Professor Isaienko on the successful victory in the election to the position of the Rector of the University and Professor Suslova with the election to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of ICAO training centres in the European and North Atlantic region.

During the meeting, the parties considered the cooperation of NAU with the Canadian Academic Institutions, such as Canadore College (North Bay, Ontario) and McGill University (Montreal, Quebec). The Parties discussed the role of NAU in the development of future relations between powerful Ukrainian aviation enterprises with Canadian partners by the support of the Embassy, and concluded that within the framework of this program, there is an opportunity for internships of students from Canada. The Parties ascertained the sustainable development of NAU's relations with ICAO, namely, the introduction of TrainAir Plus methodology at the University, the planned internship at the ICAO Headquarters, and the participation of University specialists in the ICAO program to develop a global general framework for integrating UAV into national airspace, in particular over living areas.
