NAU HELD BILLIARDS CUP “FREE PYRAMID”

   On 9-12 of March 2017, the National Aviation University in its billiard club “Aviator” with the support of the National Federation of Billiard sports of Ukraine was holding the first stage of the Men’s and Women’s  Cup of Ukraine called “Free Pyramid”. The tournament in the individual competition was attended by 45 people (including 13 women), residents of 14 regions. Among the men, there were 6 Masters of sports and 10 Candidate Masters of sports. As for the women, 3 Masters of sports of international class, 3 Masters of sports of Ukraine, 5 Candidates of sports of Ukraine attended the competition.

   The competitions were held under the patronage of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the National Federation of Billiard sports of Ukraine. Direct responsibility for the preparation and conduct of the tournament was laid on the main jury of international category - judges Yuriy Leontiev and Igor Kovtun.

   In the individual competition at the 1st stage of Men’s Cup of Ukraine “Free Pyramid” Daniel Hovtva, student (gr. TA-213) of NAU, Candidate master of Ukraine, took third place.   Roman Voloshko, student (gr. FEP -413) of NAU taking 5-8^th places, and Illia Yevtyeyev (gr.PR-305) of NAU taking 9-16 places will compete in the semifinal.

   The winners of the tournament were awarded diplomas and medals.
