NAU AND POLISH PROJECT “ACADEMIC INCUBATOR”
National Aviation University is establishing a partnership with a Polish project "Academic Incubator".
A Polish delegation visited the National Aviation University on September 8th, 2016. The purpose of the visit was to teach students to develop their own businesses. The representatives of the delegation work with non-formal education and provide advice on the development of their business ideas and social projects.
There was organized a trip to the Museum of Aviation, where guests were familiarized with the history of our university and national aviation as a whole. The space NAUHUB was shown to the guests. After that, the Poles presented their own project “Academic Incubator”, outlining the basic concept of statistics.
“We have come with the representatives of two Polish organizations “Academic Incubator” and “Center for Social Initiatives”. “Polish Academic Incubator” works with the students who have their own business ideas. Due to this resource support it helps them implement their ideas in real life and enter the markets, provide for themselves or even run a company with more jobs for others. “Center for Social Initiatives" is an organization being an incubator for the development of social projects. They aim to create not only business, but also to influence the society and economy of the state” - said the head of the "Academic Incubator" in Ukraine Andriy Zaikin.
“Polish Academic Incubator” has been working for over 10 years. The students at the universities are developing and implementing their business projects. Now, in Poland, this network consists of 50 incubators with 2,000 teams. A similar project is planned to develop in Ukraine since January 2017. Currently, the partners are being defined who want to take part in the development of the “Academic Incubator” in Ukraine. The representatives of the project are interested in NAU to become a complete partner in the development of “Academic Incubator” in our country.
Andriy Zaikin explains the prospects for a Polish project in Ukraine, “Academic Incubator” is, above all, the support, the ability to communicate with experts, to see the expertise, to study. It is very difficult to understand how to act at the start of the realization of your own ideas, in which direction to go. The project participants have access to all necessary resources in order to have legal, accounting and consulting help from business experts. This help is provided to the students in this incubator. Together with Polish colleagues we have launched in Ukraine the project, which is actually a model of Polish incubator adapted to Ukrainian infrastructure. In NAU, we are planning to make a similar incubator to teach the students how to implement their business ideas and ideas of social projects. This is a network, so, it can include many universities, not only NAU. Currently, we are launching a pilot project. Therefore, in the near future, there should be 1 - 2 (maximum) pilot sites, such as NAU. Further scaling will be gradual. "
National Aviation University supports the creation of “Academic Incubator” in Ukraine. Soon, the students of NAU being interested in developing their own projects will be able to use the experts’ experience and get important advice on the organization of their social and business projects.
