NAU AND CANADA-UKRAINE FREE TRADE AGREEMENT (CUFTA)
The National Aviation University is the first to fill the content of the Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement.
NAU has signed a cooperation agreement with the state aviation Canadore-college under the newly created free trade zone agreement with Canada. According to Acting Rector of the National Aviation University Volodymyr Kharchenko, the main aim of our agreement is to develop educational programs for students of both educational establishments, while the students of Canadore-college will be able to continue their studies to the Master degree at the National Aviation University. Moreover, the postgraduates of NAU will gain practical skills at the Canadian College, namely, to get a Canadian license of a private or corporate helicopter pilot or of an aircraft with a fixed wing. Canadore-college has a huge base with planes, helicopters and related training programs.
According to the Vice-Rector of NAU for Corporate Governance Volodymyr Shulga, the agreement was made possible through strong and consistent measures of the personnel of NAU during the past months. We would like to thank the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine, Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada Andriy Shevchenko, representatives of public organizations.
The agreement was signed by Volodymyr Kharchenko, Acting Rector of the National Aviation University, and Richard Peters, Vice President of Canadore-college, in the presence of First Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv and Minister for Economic Development of Canada Christ Freeland.
