On June 29, 2016 the delegation of the Chinese company “Xi'an Yuanchuang Magnetic Power New Era SA” was met by the Acting Rector of the National Aviation University Volodymyr Kharchenko in the conference hall of the Academic Council of the university. The company received a grant from the Chinese government to make a project of an aircraft company, being in the list of 165 China’s most important projects.

On the Chinese side the meeting was also attended by a delegation of Vaynan administration of Shensi province, as well as the heads of “Aircraft Group Shensi”. The delegation included 10 people, including the representatives of the Ukrainian company “Ukrainian Aviation Industry Group”, which is a partner of New Era SA. The aim of the visit to NAU was to discuss the possibilities of cooperation with the University in the sphere of training future specialists.

On the Ukrainian side the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of NAU Alexander Badrudinov, Vice-Rector for Development and International Relations Alexander Avdeev and heads of institutions also attended the meeting.

Volodymyr Kharchenko told the Chinese guests about the potential and possibilities of NAU in training of aviation personnel, as well as in scientific and technological research. The Chinese side was pleased with the information. This confirms that they consider opportunities for training Chinese students in Ukraine to be ideal.

The importance of the project for the Chinese side to cooperate with NAU indicates the following figures. $15 billion will be provided to attract for one of the most important civil aviation projects in the province of Shensi. The aviation base has an area of 440 square kilometers. The construction of a modern aviation infrastructure with appropriate logistics, technical equipment and modern technologies has already been in full swing. The base will have a wide range of activities which include production of aircraft, aircraft engines, an international airport and others.

In conclusion, the Acting Rector of the National Aviation University Volodymyr Kharchenko said, “The University has considerable experience in international cooperation based on which he believes that China's economic potential and opportunities of NAU will give sufficient grounds to express confidence in a successful cooperation. And the National Aviation University is ready for cooperation with the Chinese side”.

 

The hangar and several laboratories were shown to Chinese visitors.
