Press Announcement of a Flash Mob

On Tuesday, April 5, before the referendum on the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine in the Netherlands, the initiative group of Kyiv university students organized a massive flash mob "Chain of Unity: Ukraine and Europe are Stronger Together! "

The purpose of the flash mob is to appeal the Dutch population to support Ukraine on its way to EU integration and to demonstrate pro-European desire of Ukrainian youth.

The students of Kyiv higher educational institutions (including NAU, Taras Shevchenko KNU, NEA named after Drahomanov, KNUCA, Hrinchenko University and many others) are going to make "a human chain" meaning to stand hand in hand from the Embassy of the Netherlands on 7, Kontraktova Sq. to European square, and to testify with a wave of unity their desire to be members of the European community.

The participation of Ambassadors of European countries, the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Science, Kyiv City State Council and NGOs are expected at the event.

14:30 – gathering of students and those who desire to take part (from 7, Sq. Kontraktova, at the Embassy of the Netherlands, to European Sq., at the Ukrainian House)

14.45 – 15.00 – Chain of Unity (route – Kontraktova Sq. –Sahaidachnoho St. – Volodymyrsky uzviz ( descent) – European Sq.)

15.00 – 15.15 – The Wave of Unity

15.30 – 16.00 – meeting at the Ukrainian House.
