Taras Shevchenko Commemoration

 In 2014, the international community will celebrate 200 years since the birth of the Great Poet. Our country has already started the preparation for this momentous event. The Department of Ukrainian Language and Culture of the Humanities Institute also joined to the commemoration of Ukrainian genius. O. Pryhodko, the associate professor wrote the afterword to Ukrainian edition book "Taras Shevchenko" of famous Armenian scientist Marieta Shahinian. On May, 30 in Rivne where the book was published, it was presented. The book represents the figure of Taras Shevchenko in the broadest sense of his contribution to the spiritual life of the Ukrainian nation - painter, poet, writer, music connoisseur. The Department of Ukrainian Language and Culture planned to hold the next presentation for the students of Humanities Institute within the celebration of the poet anniversary at NAU.
